What You’ll Do


Role: Community Steward, DeGrants Cohort 3
Type: Volunteer

Commitment:

Pre-Cohort (setup phase): ~2 hrs/week.
  • Help shape cohort programming (tracks, budget planning, etc.)
  • Application support (Twitter Spaces, outreach).
  • Review and discuss grant applications.

During Cohort (active phase): ~1 hr/week
  • Provide light-touch support to grantees (amplifying on Twitter, sharing updates).
  • Participate in community updates and check-ins.

Who Should Apply?

We’re looking for community members who are:

  • Passionate about growing the Stacks ecosystem.
  • Experienced (or curious) in areas like dev tools, DeFi, governance, art, music, community building, etc.
  • Committed to fairness and transparency in grant allocation.
  • Available for a light but consistent weekly time commitment.
  • No prior grants experience required, just bring your perspective, voice, and energy.

Key Dates

  • Stewards Applications Open: Monday, 25th August
  • Stewards Applications Close: Thursday, 3rd September
  • Stewards Announced: Monday, 8th September
  • DeGrants Applications Open: Wednesday, 10th September
  • DeGrants Applications Close: Friday, 26th September
  • Grantees Announced: Monday, 13th October

Steward Recognition Reward

While the Steward role is a volunteer position, we know your time and contributions are valuable.

As a token of appreciation, a total reward of 7,200 STX will be shared equally among all selected Stewards:

  • If 4 Stewards are selected, each will receive 1,800 STX.
  • Rewards will be distributed at the end of the cohort, once Stewardship responsibilities are completed.

Being a Steward is first and foremost about impact, leadership, and visibility, the reward is simply a way of saying thank you for the time you dedicate to guiding DeGrants and supporting builders.
